It's Christmas season, and even the biggest stars are celebrating by decking the halls of their own homes. Lest you were concerned Kim Kardashian and Kanye West would besmirch their pristine, Axel Vervoordt-designed home with something as gaudy as, say, evergreen garlands or red-and-green accents, fear not: The superstar couple has settled on an—er—unconventional style of decor.

In a video posted to her Instagram story, Kardashian treated her millions of followers to a tour of her seasonally decorated home... and man, is it weird. You'd be forgiven for thinking the above photo is a shot of an open bathroom drawer containing rows of cotton balls and rolled-up washcloths, but alas, no: These are the decorations with which one of the world's most famous couples have chosen to celebrate the Yule season.

"All these pretty custom trees we did for our Christmas party last year," Kardashian reveals as she walks down a hallway lined with the curious, puffy-white "trees," which call to mind the neatly rolled warm towel handed out in first class on a European airline, or before the meal at a Japanese restaurant. "I love these; they're so whimsical, like Whoville, but all white," Kardashian says.

Fans of the Kardashians may remember last year's all-white Christmas party, devised by event planner-to-the-stars Mindy Weiss, who bedecked the Kardashian-West home in plush layers of white. Dismembered from their original scheme, though, the puff trees look a bit lost, especially against the stark backdrop of the Kardashian-West's famously minimal home. But hey, I'll admit: I'm all for recycling last year's decor.

Those gravely concerned about the state of Christmas affairs chez Kardashian-West can take comfort in knowing the family also has a more traditional evergreen tree—decorated with nothing but simple, white lights, of course.
