X Dunks on Musk after He—of All People—Urges Users to Post ‘Positive’ Content

The internet never forgets, and X users are dunking on the site’s boss, Elon Musk, following his pleas for more “positive” content...just days after he used a slur against Americans during a wild meltdown over H-1B visas.

In a weird few days for the DOGE co-star he agreed with a post that called Americans too “retarded” to exclusively fill the U.S. tech workforce and urged detractors to “take a big step back and F--- YOURSELF in the face.” His point, in a round-about way, was that he unequivocally supports the system that cherry picks top tech talent for the U.S. (although he has since rowed back a bit on this, too.)

But, thankfully he has decided to cool his jets slightly after a period of reflection, and perhaps a word from Trump. And as part of his patch-things-up phase, Musk asked X users to post more “positive” content. “Please post a bit more positive, beautiful or informative content on this platform,” he requested.

However, among the reams of dog pictures and what appeared to be bots and large accounts engagement-farming under his post, not everyone was convinced by Musk’s attempted 180.

MAGA hardliners, generally against the H-1B, aren’t so quick to forget. In response to his call to arms, one user reminded the billionaire that the damage was done. They wrote: “Bro you spent Christmas calling Americans subhuman retards and declaring you would purge all MAGA loyalists from the America First movement that you bought 6 months ago because we are racists for not letting you import millions of Indians.”

A second person apparently just wanted to kick the tech mogul when he was down. They shared a screenshot of Musk’s wild “F--- YOURSELF in the face” comment and added: “Me when someone says to post more ‘positive, beautiful, or informative content.’”

“You first,” Musk-critical billionaire and investor Mark Cuban joked. The two have a bit of beef on the grill. Cuban has accused him of controlling algorithms to push agendas in a Daily Show interview with John Stewart in August. In response, Musk called out Cuban and said X’s algorithm was “open source.”

Meanwhile, another person couldn’t forget Elon’s ‘face f-----g’ moment and wrote: “Sooooo…we’re done f-----g faces? Ok then. EVERYONE BE POSITIVE STARTING NOW!"

Another person posted a mocked up image of Musk as a stern-looking king atop his throne, with the words ‘positivity is mandatory’ written across it.

It is as yet unclear whether Musk’s efforts to avoid crisis will work, with figures like right-wing commentator Laura Loomer and former Trump adviser Stephen K. Bannon leading the MAGA charge against the tech bros.
