  • The Wedding Edit dropped yesterday, January 22nd, in the thick of engagement season.

Who says you can only wear your dream wedding dress once?

Following on the heels of other luxury retailers like Net-A-Porter and Moda Operandi, MatchesFashion made its grand entrance into the wedding scene yesterday with The Wedding Edit, dedicating itself not only to completing a bridal look but also to creating pieces that a bride can still use long after she comes home from her honeymoon.

"We have noticed an increase in sales across our eveningwear and modern tailoring categories, particularly in monochrome tones," said Natalie Kingham, MatchesFashion's fashion buying director. "We wanted to create a dedicated area where our clients can find unique pieces for their wedding and special events that can be worn again for many years to come."

The London-based, global retailer brought together a roster of luxury designers to curate 30 collections of 250 unique pieces (including the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Miu Miu, Jil Sander, Christopher Kane, and The Row), as well as curating 65 additional pieces from established and emerging designers.

The edit is thorough: Twisted satin headbands, regally high-necked satin slips, freshwater pearl drop earrings, embroidered satin mules, and floral-brocade square-neck gowns join suiting, and custom pieces from some of our favorite labels. With MatchesFashion's edit, every type of bride can dress herself from head to toe—no matter her personal style.
