From Town & Country

We're counting down the days until the arrival of The Crown season four on Netflix—and the on-screen portrayal of the love triangle to end all love triangles. This season introduces a whole new cast, including our first look at Princess Diana, and from what we know so far, it's sure to be as stylish and dramatic as ever.

If you're planning to binge the entire season when it lands on November 15 (and really, who isn't?) be sure to tune in later that evening for a special conversation between author Elizabeth Holmes—who wrote Town & Country's November cover story on the cast of The Crown—and T&C editor in chief Stellene Volandes. They'll talk Charles, Diana, and Camilla, of course, as well as this season's introduction of Margaret Thatcher and all the requisite political drama.

They'll also discuss Holmes's new book HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style, an expansion of her popular Instagram series "So Many Thoughts." HRH takes a nuanced, sharp look at the fashion of the most visible women in the contemporary royal family: Queen Elizabeth II; Diana, Princess of Wales; Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge; and Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. Holmes shows how each woman's sartorial strategy is a carefully constructed message about their values and views, making royal fashion much more than just sweeping evening gowns. Volandes—whose own book Jewels That Made History was just released—will also speak to the significance and symbols of royal jewelry.

Holmes and Volandes will be live on Sunday, November 15 at 7 p.m. ET to discuss the season premiere of The Crown. Tickets are available here and include a signed copy of HRH, with all proceeds going to support Semicolon Bookstore in Chicago. You can also submit a question and be entered to win a copy of Town & Country's November issue, featuring the cast of The Crown.
