Barack Obama Busts Out His Dad Dancing Moves During Trip To Kenya

He may be one of the most powerful men in the world, but Barack Obama still dances like a dad.

The US president got down on the dancefloor at a state dinner on Saturday night in Nairobi, Kenya.

Obama has not been shy about showing off his dance moves throughout his presidency, and he gave them another airing in this impromptu performance.

At a dinner hosted by Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta, Obama joined his host on stage with the music group Sauti Sol.

The pop stars have been enjoying the success of their recent hit, Sura Yako (which translates as “Your Face”), which is accompanied by an update of the traditional Lipala dance.

The dance has taken Kenya by storm, with many people uploading their own moves on to social media.

At the state dinner, Obama was also joined on stage by Kenyan first lady Margaret Kenyatta, US national security advisor Susan Rice and his half-sister Auma.

Obama’s father was Kenyan and several of his relatives joined him on his Kenya trip.

During the dance, Obama followed instructions from Sauti Sol singer Bien-Aimé Baraza, who called out: “To the right, to the left, to the left” to keep the US president in time with the beat.
