Pilot demonstrates jumbo jet can be a stunt plane too

Stunt flying is usually reserved for fighter jet pilots, but the pilot of this large passenger plane apparently wanted to show jumbo jets could also get in on the action.

While the stunts may not look as impressive as stunts by a snowbird or modern fighter jet, the pilot is doing a lot more with this passenger plane than just taking off, hitting autopilot and then landing.

We are not sure if passengers were on the plane as it is seen buzzing the runway and quickly pulling up into a sharp turn - so sharp that the port wing almost looks like it touches the ground.

Even if passengers were on the plane, it would have been a less stomach-turning experience than what happened last month on a Japanese airliner.

It was recently reported a plane carrying 117 passengers almost flipped upside down and went into a nosedive. All Nippon Airways finally issued an apology Monday for the Sept. 6 incident. The plane flipped 140 degrees and dropped 1,900 metres when a copilot pressed the wrong button.

The copilot meant to hit a button that let the pilot out of the washroom, but mistakenly flipped the switch that controls the rudders. Two flight attendants were injured, but all passengers managed to stay in their seats.
