Live: Watch Chris Hadfield’s return to Earth

After five months on the International Space Station, Canadian Chris Hadfield returns to earth tonight.

It's fair to state that Hadfield has done more in the past five months to raise interest in space than NASA has done in the past five years — he's sung with students, tweeted with Captain Kirk, and sent out fantastic videos and images from his perch high above the Earth.

In typical Hadfield fashion, tonight's descent will be available to watch live through YouTube in the above stream. Here's the key schedule of events (all times ET):

  • 6:45 p.m. — ISS Expedition 35/Soyuz TMA-07M Undocking Coverage (undocking scheduled at 7:08 p.m. ET)

  • 9:15 p.m. — ISS Expedition 35/Soyuz TMA-07M Deorbit Burn and Landing Coverage (Deorbit burn scheduled at 9:37 p.m. ET, landing near Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan scheduled at 10:31 p.m. ET) – JSC via Kazakhstan

And starting at 9:15 p.m., you can watch the Canadian Space Agency feed of Hadfield's return, below.
