Petition seeks to name extreme storms after climate change deniers

There are an alarming number of policy makers in the United States that are in denial about the reality of global warming and climate change. Recently, a petition popped up on the internet that calls out these policy-making deniers, by attaching their names to some of the most extreme effects of climate change.

It might be easy to write this off as just a silly video put together to poke fun at members of government, but the underlying message is pretty serious, and there's been a pretty strong response to it.

As of today, only three days after this video went up online, the Climate Name Change petition already has over 85% of the 50,000 signatures it set as its goal. The deadline for the petition is November 30th. Assuming the petition stays open even after it reaches that goal, it will be very interesting to see exactly how many people really support this idea.
