Body found in burnt SUV in Laval

Laval police are investigating after a body was found in a burnt vehicle.

Several passersby reported seeing the SUV on fire on des Mille-Îles Boulevard near Highway 25.

Some witnesses said the vehicle was still moving when they noticed it. It's unclear whether the car was still on fire at that point.

The person who was inside has not been identified.

Laval police recently vowed to crack down on organized crime violence within the city after a brazen hotel shooting left a man dead and shocked witnesses.
