HRP looking for 3rd suspect in Dartmouth bus driver beating

Halifax Regional Police are asking the public to help them identify a man wanted in connection with the assault of a Halifax Transit bus driver earlier this month.

The bus driver tried to break up a fight between two young women on July 8, but was then attacked by three males at the bridge terminal in Dartmouth. The suspects then fled the area.

Two of the three suspects have been found. An 18-year-old Sackville man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and breach of recognizance, while a 20-year-old Halifax man is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court in August to face a charge of assault causing bodily harm.

Police are asking anybody with information to call them at 490-5020. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477. People can also submit a secure web tip at crimestoppers.ns.ca or texting Tip 202 plus a message to 274637.
