Former Crime Stoppers car stolen, Regina police say

A vehicle that was previously used for Regina's Crime Stoppers program has been stolen, according to police in that city.

Police said the vehicle, a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser, still bears the Crime Stoppers logos and other identifying decals.

While the missing vehicle was reported to police on Oct. 17, they said it may have been taken as much as a month earlier.

"The Regina police would like to advise that this vehicle is not in the possession of Crime Stoppers, and that persons currently using this vehicle do not represent Regina Crime Stoppers," police said in a news release.

They did ask anyone with information about the stolen car to contact Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-8477, which is the number on the side of the vehicle.
