HMS Bounty sinks during Sandy

Search for Bounty captain
The U.S. Coast Guard resumes the search for the captain of the Nova Scotia-built replica tall ship HMS Bounty, which sank Monday in high seas brought on by Hurricane Sandy. One crew member is confirmed to be dead.

The HMS Bounty, a 180-foot sailboat, submerged in the Atlantic Ocean during Hurricane Sandy approximately 145 km southeast of Hatteras, North Carolina. U.S. coast guards recovered the body of a crew member, but the captain is reportedly still missing.
