Police looking for vehicle in homicide investigation

Windsor police are asking the public for help finding a vehicle in relation to a homicide investigation in the death of a 31-year-old pregnant woman.

Cassandra Kaake was was seven months pregnant when fire fighters discovered her body after responding to a Benjamin Street house fire on Dec. 11.

Police are looking for a tan-coloured vehicle with a dark blue or black roof that was seen in the area around the home and similar to a Delta 88, Lincoln Towne Car or Chrysler Fifth Avenue with a Landau roof.

A postmortem examination found that Kaake died of blood loss caused by severe trauma.

The examination also suggests her attacker, or attackers, may have suffered injuries during the struggle.
