Red Deer infant death now a homicide
The death of a four-month-old baby girl from Red Deer, Alta., is now considered a homicide.
After an autopsy Monday, the medical examiner now concludes the infant was killed.
The infant was brought to the Red Deer Regional Hospital suffering from life-threatening head injuries at around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
She was later transported by Stars Air Ambulance to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton, where she died at 1:15 a.m.
Red Deer RCMP are not releasing any further information.
