The Prince of Wales Skating Club is cancelling all programming until Wednesday, Jan 9th due to the power issues.

Twin Rinks is closed until Wednesday.

The Labrador West office is closed today due to weather conditions.

The Francophone Association choir, La Rose des vents, is postponing its Monday rehearsal until Thursday.

The Natural Resources building on Elizabeth Ave is opening at noon.

K-12 Labrador City and Wabush closed for the morning due to storm forecast. Update at 11 a.m.

The Avalon Mall will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6 and Tuesday, Jan. 7.

The Town of Holyrood has a warming station set up at the office building on the Holyrood Access Road next to Firehall.

All City of Mount Pearl recreational facilities will remain closed today and tomorrow with the exception of the Reid Community Centre which will remain open as a warming station.

Due to the reduce parking and rotating power interruptions the Bridges To Hope office will be closed for today, reopen tomorrow.

City of St. John's is opening a warming centre is still open. Foran/Greene Room on the fourth floor of City Hall. Free parking is available in the parking garage located next to City Hall and hot beverages will be available.

Brenda Rowe Artwork Studio will be closed today and Monday night's classes will be rescheduled. Due to the power outages, The Telegram is experiencing production and distribution delays.

Please be advised the old Town Office on the Holyrood Access Road is currently open as a warming station.

GoBus Accessible Transit is currently experiencing technical issues which are interferring with phone and computer systems. These issues are being looked into and GoBus hopes to be back to normal operations as soon as possible.

All City of St. John's Recreation Centres will remain closed for the remainder of the day.

All Keyin College Campuses will remain closed for today and tomorrow in an effort to conserve energy.

Due to operational issues, recycling collection (area 1A) in St. John's has been cancelled. Garbage collection (area 1A and 1B ) will continue as scheduled. Eastern Health advises the public that the influenza vaccination clinic scheduled for today at Bethesda Church in St. John's will be relocated to its Community Health office on 20 Cordage Place. The clinic will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Service Canada Centre in Pleasantville (Building 223) has a delayed opening until 10:00 am with further update at 9:30.

Eastern Health anticipates it will have normal operations today, BUT: elective surgeries have been cancelled at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Dr. G. B. Cross Hospital in Clarenville, and Carbonear General Hospital. Emergency surgeries will occur. Residents of the Clarenville area are also advised that routine, walk-in X-ray services will not be available on Monday. People have appointments for other services today may be contacted by Eastern Health. AND: Services and meetings which normally take place at Building 532 in Pleasantville are cancelled today because of flooding issues caused by a break in the sprinkler system. (Eastern Health staff will contact clients of the Rowan Centre, Recovery Centre and Opioid Treatment Centre (methadone clinic) to make alternate arrangements for continued service. Clients can also call 752-4980 for additional information. Eastern Health will work to ensure there is no or little interruption in services to its clients.)

The Gathering Place will be closed until Wednesday January 8.

Marine Atlantic is advising that due to forecasted high winds, there may be a weather delay out of North Sydney and Port aux Basques for the 1145 and 2345 sailings on January 6th.

The Mount Pearl swimming pool will remain closed tomorrow (Monday) morning for regular programs. An update will be provided at noon on Monday. Registration for winter swimming programs will begin as rescheduled tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. for Mount Pearl residents. Registration for non-residents will open Tuesday beginning at 5:00 p.m.
