14-Year-Old Girl Found Dead in UP’s Bhadohi; Three Arrested
The Bhadohi police on Friday, 2 October, said that three people have been arrested in the case where a 14-year-old Dalit minor girl who was found dead in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi district on Thursday, 1 October.
The girl was allegedly attacked with bricks and her head was smashed, reported The Hindu.
The 14-year-old girl, belonging to Chakrajaram Tiwaripur village of Gopiganj police station area, had gone to defecate when unknown persons attacked her, reported India Today.
This follows the death of the 19-year-old Dalit woman from the state's Hathras district after she was allegedly gang-raped by four men.

The investigation is underway, even as her family alleged that she was raped.
"Whether or not a rape has occurred with the minor will be known only after the post-mortem report," Ram Badan Singh, SP Bhadohi said.
Singh added: “It could be a case of rape because there appears to be no other motive to kill her. She had enmity with no one. But this will be confirmed only when the postmortem report is in," NDTV reported.
A murder case was filed against the accused on Thursday evening.
