Two bodies were discovered near the vehicle of a woman who was reported missing earlier this month.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office found the remains in a wooded area in Osceola County in the early morning hours of Friday, April 19.

The discovery was made 12 days after Claudia Pena, 25, and Nicolas Alvarez, 22 were last seen leaving her mother’s home on April 7, WFTV9 reported.

According to police, the remains were found near Pena’s vehicle.

“Some of the clothing on the remains found in the wooded area are consistent with the clothing of the missing person, Ms. Claudia Pena,” the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. “However, at this time, the remains have not been positively identified, and the Medical Examiner’s office is still working to determine an identification.”
