▪ Fridays beginning Nov. 6, Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami streams “From Behind the Mask: Unveiling DDTM’s 2021 Season,” a series of programs sampling new works including “Preludes” by choreographer Ariel Rose with music by Columbian-born composer Jorge Mejia, and the world premiere of Yanis Eric Pikeiris’ “Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge.” Suggested donation $10, at dimensionsdancemia.com.
▪ Karen Peterson Dancers streams its 30th Anniversary performance Sunday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. with a guest performance by REVolutions Dance in a program packed with world premieres created for the COVID-19 era. ▪ Celebrated for “her mix of art and social consciousness,” acclaimed choreographer Claudia Schreier collaborates with Miami City Ballet and composer Jorge Mejia (also president and CEO of Sony/ATV Music Publishing Latin America and U.S. Latin) on a new work for the digital stage streaming Nov. 19 (time TBD) at miamicityballet.org.
▪ Known for arresting images and otherworldly choreographies, Bistoury Physical Theater presents “The Elephant Woman,” an exploration of woman through an analogue animal experience at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium’s Drive-Through Theatre on Nov. 13. Information: //bistoury.org/index.html.
▪ Dance NOW! Miami captures the zeitgeist of life in corona times with the premiere of “this moment, here,” a one-act ballet performed live and streamed virtually, Sunday Dec. 13 at 7 pm at the North Beach Bandshell, Miami Beach. $10 donation requested.
