Three men have been charged for their alleged roles in a Brampton road rage incident captured on video, while a fourth man remains outstanding, Peel police say.

A 28-year-old man from Caledon was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, mischief over $5,000 and uttering threats, Peel police said in a news release Monday.

The other two men, a 23 year old from Caledon and a 28 year old from Brampton, were both charged with mischief over $5,000, according to police.

The incident unfolded on the evening on March 27. Police say a victim was driving on Torbram Road near Eagleridge Drive when there was an "interaction" with the occupants of a gold-coloured Hyundai Sonata with the licence plate CXHK981.

Four men confronted and threatened the victim while damaging their vehicle, police said.

Video of the violent interaction sparked outrage online and drew condemnation from local politicians and community leaders.

Investigators are searching for a fourth suspect who is believed to be evading police. He is described as South Asian and six-feet tall. He was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, black graffiti hoodie with "Jordan 33" written in red, dark-coloured pants and red and white low-top Jordan sneakers.

In the news release, police encourage the man to contact a lawyer and turn himself in.
