Suspect found dead, 3 women seriously injured following assault in Mississauga

A male suspect was found dead after he allegedly assaulted three women in Mississauga Monday evening, Peel police say.

According to Const. Heather Cannon, officers received a call for a disturbance around 10:20 p.m. at a residence in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road East and Ponytrail Drive.

Officers located three women who had been assaulted by a suspect who was known to them.

The women were transported to hospital in serious, but non-life-threatening condition, Cannon said.

Meanwhile, police warned that the suspect had fled the scene and may have been armed with a weapon.

The suspect was found dead by officers a short time later close to the location of the incident. His death is not being considered as suspicious.

Cannon said there are no other outstanding suspects and the investigation remains ongoing.
