9-1-1 and The Bachelor Collide in First Promo for Upcoming Crossover Event
Everything’s coming up roses for the 118, with ABC plotting a crossover between 9-1-1 and The Bachelor on Thursday, April 4 (8/7c).
The first promo for this unorthodox overlap aired on Monday during The Bachelor‘s full-night finale event, revealing that both Joey Graziadei and Jesse Palmer are set to make cameos. Prior to this promo, our only hint about 9-1-1‘s latest crossover was this “leaked” photo of a 118 firetruck parked outside what was clearly Bachelor Mansion.

TVLine spoke to showrunner Tim Minear prior to 9-1-1‘s Season 7 premiere, when rumors of a crossover with another ABC show were simply that — rumors.
“There happens to be something in the ABC family that I think works really well with our show,” he teased in our interview. “You will be seeing that midseason.”
We also asked Minear if he would be open to 9-1-1 — which now airs Thursdays on ABC, leading into Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 — crossing over with either of those Shondaland procedurals. He isn’t completely opposed to opening up his show’s universe, but any such decision would not be made lightly.
“I was reading an article about Abbott Elementary and how they’re very particular about who might make sense as a cameo, or what kind of cross pollination would make sense,” he said. “They don’t just say yes to everything.”
Minear also notes that 9-1-1‘s relocation to ABC “makes it completely unlikely” that the show will stage another crossover with its spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star, which remains a the Fox lineup.
“We will be doing a crossover, just not with Lone Star,” he said.
9-1-1 aired for six seasons on Fox (2018–2023) before relocating to ABC, where it launched its seventh season on March 14, 2024. Your thoughts on the show’s unexpected “crossover” with The Bachelor? Drop ’em in a comment below.
