Airbnb recently published a list of its most hospitable hosts, picking just one winner to represent each state. In the sunny state of Florida, it was a Pensacola superhost to earn the honor.

A home, listed as the Magical Jewel Cottage on the site, is described as a “magical cottage” that’s “ideal for a getaway, staycation, family visit, military, exploring + central to Downtown Pensacola and beaches.”

But what about it makes it so hospitable?

To be eligible to be picked, hosts needed to achieve 100% five-star ratings in the following categories: cleanliness, check-in and communication.

They also needed to have a minimum of 100 reviews. Tiebreakers went to the listing with the greatest number of reviews.

Those categories were picked, according to Airbnb, because the company believes hospitality can take many forms. It can include a spotless listing, quickly responding to the guests’ needs and offering an easy and seamless check-in process.

The Magical Jewel Cottage in Pensacola, owned and hosted by Clara Brosnaham Reeves, has maintained a perfect five-star rating in not only the three aforementioned categories but also in accuracy, location and value. And it’s achieved that across 205 user reviews.

What is the Magical Jewel Cottage in Pensacola like?

The Magical Jewel Cottage in Pensacola is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom Airbnb that’s located minutes away from the Cordova area and about a 20-minute drive from Pensacola Beach.

The property itself is bright and cozy. A patio sits in front of the home, decorated with mismatched but endearing furniture and an assortment of greenery.

Inside, guests can find a living area with an adorable coffee bar, a fairly spacey bathroom with a walk-in shower and a bedroom fitted with a queen bed.

How to book the Magical Jewel Cottage

Rates are subject to change, but the one-bedroom Airbnb is currently listed for $131 per night. Anyone interested in booking the cottage can head over to Airbnb.com, where they can enter the details for their trip and check availability.

Cursory searches show rates fluctuate between $131 per night and $121 per night, between now and the end of September, and cleaning fees are low, around $30.
