Alderney residents need passes for royal visit
Alderney residents wishing to take part in representing the island when King Charles III and Queen Camilla visit Guernsey will need security passes.
The States of Alderney plans to bring over a 36-strong delegation including schoolchildren to showcase the island to the royal couple.
Members of the community are invited to attend the event at Les Cotils, but due to security restrictions a States of Alderney authorised pass will be needed.
The public are advised to call into the general office to get their photo taken so they can be issued with a laminated pass.
A list of those attending will be provided to Guernsey Police.
Any residents not currently in the island should contact the president's secretary so their name can be added to the list, and they will be allowed entry with a valid passport or driving licence.
Children under the age of 16 will not be required to obtain a pass, provided they are accompanied by a parent or connected adult who has a pass.
