Burning Ban Extended Alhambra Area

Chief Randy Take announced that until further notice that due to the high winds and dry conditions, residents are asked to please not burn anything until further notice.

In these conditions, fire will spread fast and can become out of control quickly.

Jaycees Pickle Races

The Alhambra Jaycees will host Pickle Races as a fund drive for the Shriners Hospital on Saturday, March 23, from 6:30 to 11 p.m.

The fun and worthwhile event will be held at the Alhambra Township Park in the Firemen Legion building.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the first races begin at 7 p.m.

Throughout the evening there will be 50/50 drawings, vibrator races, Big 6 Wheel, cooler of booze and lotto board raffles.

Alhambra Jaycees 2024 Easter Egg Hunt

The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, March 30, at 1 p.m. at the Alhambra Township Park behind the Legion Hall.

Areas will be split up for the different age groups: Ages 0-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10 and up.

Multiple prizes will be awarded in each age group.

The Easter bunny will be on hand for pictures with the children.

Alhambra Village Yard Sales

This year’s town-wide yard sales will be held April 25-27.

Times are as follows: Thursday, April 25, 3-7 p.m.; Friday, April 26, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, April 27, 8 a.m to 2 p.m.

If you would like to have your name and location on the map, you are asked to help with the cost of printing and advertising. Suggested donation is $3.

Salem UCC Easter

Evangelism/Worship Committee will host Easter Breakfast on Easter morning.

Breakfast will be served following the Sunrise Worship Service (7 a.m.) until the start of the 10 a.m. Worship Service in the lower level of the Parish Hall.

All breakfast items will be provided by the Evangelism/Worship Committee.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Board of Christian Education will host an Easter egg hunt for children ages newborn through sixth grade during Sunday School time on Easter Sunday, March 31.

Kids will be placed into age-appropriate groups.

The hunt will be outside, weather permitting, and will begin around 9:15 a.m. Bring your baskets.
