Amber Heard ‘Drops Charges Against Johnny Depp’ For Alleged Abuse Amid Text Message Scandal
Amber Heard has reportedly decided not to press charges against Johhny Depp over the alleged abuse that she suffered before and during their 15-month marriage.
The 30-year-old actress made shock claims recently that her husband had repeatedly assaulted her, after appearing in court with injuries to her face – claims that he has furiously denied.

Shortly after, Amber’s legal team released a statement to confirm that she would be filing a report with the LAPD, insisting that false allegations had been made against her.
But now, the Never Back Down actress is believed to have abandoned plans to report the 52-year-old to police, according to TMZ.
Sources close to Amber allegedly claim that she “doesn’t want to bury” Johnny, believing if she were to make a report, it could “trigger an arrest and prosecution.”

The news comes after a series of explosive text messages, which are believed to have been sent between Amber and Johnny’s personal assistant Stephen Deuters, have leaked online (via ET Online).
The disturbing messages, exchanged in May 2014 (prior to the couple’s wedding last year), begin with Stephen apologising for the actions of a man, believed to be Johnny Depp, and then continue to reference the alleged incidents of domestic violence.

However, since this news has emerged, Mr. Deuters has reportedly denied the authenticity of purported text messages, claiming that they have been “heavily doctored.”
According to TMZ, Depp’s assistant “says he knows of no acts of abuse towards Amber at the hands of Johnny and has never made such a claim to anyone”. He reportedly also suggested the messages were “suspicious” because they don’t have a date stamp like other iMessage conversations.
To further confirm his position on the matter, he reportedly claimed that he would testify under oath that “he never had a conversation about alleged violence with Amber”.

This shocking turn of events comes just over a week after Amber filed for a divorce from her husband Johnny, who cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for their breakdown.
The Hollywood couple first met in 2012 on the set of The Rum Diary; officially tying the knot in a secret wedding ceremony on 3rd February 2015.
