Analyst: These are the best Black Friday deals

TVs, toys and video games, oh my! Black Friday is this week, and — as always — it can be overwhelming to know where to start to find the best deals. We talked with Janice Lieberman, an analyst from DealNews, to come up with five of the best deals you can find this year.

Televisions are always hot on Black Friday, and this year is no exception. Best Buy will offer a 50” 4K Sharp Smart TV for $179.99. Best Buy typically sells this particular model for $399.99, so this is more than half off. The drawback? This deal will only be offered in stores.

And if you’ve got a Sony PlayStation 4 to plug into that television, you can get a virtual reality headset to go with it for $199.99 at Target. This is the lowest price DealNews has seen for just the headset, by about $25. You’ll still need to buy the other attachments though, at $199.99 it doesn’t come with the camera or any other additions.

If you’ve got kids who love Sci-Fi (or if you do, who am I to judge?), don’t pass up the 20% savings on a Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit from Amazon. This kit from LittleBits lets you build your very own R2 droid unit.

For the adult in you, check out the incredible saving on a Dyson V6 Animal Cord-Free Stick Vacuum; DealNews says this is an all-time low price for this vacuum. Macy’s, Lowe’s and Target will offer this discount, but if you’re a Kohl’s shopper you’re better off buying this item there. Kohl’s will sell this vacuum for $250 and throw in $75 in Kohl’s Cash.

We’ll wrap it up with a two-fer. Target will sell Amazon’s Echo Home Assistant system for $79.99, a savings of $20. This is a brand-new system that only started shipping on Oct. 31. And if you don’t need the large Echo, you can get an Echo Dot from Amazon for $29.99. They both offer the same assistant, Alexa, but the Echo has a powerful speaker. The Echo Dot is designed to be hooked up to an external speaker system.
