Ariana Madix's Boyfriend Daniel Wai Shares Sweet Throwback Swimsuit Photo from Fiji Vacation

The 'Vanderpump Rules' star was first connected with the fitness trainer in April 2023

Ariana Madix and her boyfriend Daniel Wai are looking back on their beautiful tropical vacation!

On Thursday, June 13, the Vanderpump Rules star's boyfriend Wai shared a post to Instagram from the couple's stunning beach vacation to Fiji, where they stayed at the Barefoot Kuata Island Resort. A photo showed the reality TV star and her boyfriend holding hands as they donned swimsuits to stand on the beach together.

"Could do another week in the Fijian sun! Need these peaceful vibes again!" Wai, a fitness trainer, wrote in the post's caption. "Great way to spend my first mini vacation in over a year!"

"Island giiirrrrlllll 🥰🥰🥰🥰," Madix, 38, chimed in underneath the post.

Madix and Wai were first rumored to be seeing each other in April 2023, just one month after it was rumored that her longtime boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, was allegedly cheating with their Vanderpump Rules costar Raquel Leviss.

After first meeting at a mutual friend's wedding, the two were spotted spending time together at Coachella.

Although a source who spoke with PEOPLE at the time said that Madix was not looking for anything "serious" after the end of her nine-year relationship with Sandoval, the couple's romance quickly grew. By May 2023, the reality star was already "falling in love" with Wai, a source told PEOPLE.

Wai made his Vanderpump Rules debut during season 11, and he and Madix have been candid about their relationship on social media.

Just last month, Madix wished the personal trainer a happy birthday, sharing a photo to Instagram of her and Wai smiling as they touched noses.

Madix wrote on May 4, "Happy birthday to the most handsome man i know who always lets me have the first and last bite 👑💖🥵."

"Thank you so much. Best year ever!!" Wai wrote in the comment section.

Madix has even discussed her relationship with Wai on Vanderpump Rules. Back in February, she opened up to her costar Lala Kent about sharing her house with Sandoval despite their breakup — but also added that her relationship with Wai has even made her consider having kids.

"I mean, he's the first person that I've met that I'm actually like, 'Oh, is that what that would be like?' " Madix admitted at the time. "I just think he's opened my mind and opened my eyes to a lot of different possibilities that I could not see."

"In retrospect, Tom being my partner affected my feelings on having kids a lot more than I thought it did," she added in a confessional after her conversation with Kent. "I feel like with Dan, I've kind of had my eyes open to the fact that there are different types of partners out there who would actually be a real 50/50 partner, or if I can only give 10% that day, he's ready to give 90."
