‘Arrow’ Fall Finale’s Surprise Ending Perplexes DC Universe Fans

On the fall finale of Arrow, there were plenty of surprises, including the return of Laurel Lance, which left many fans on Twitter puzzled. Miles Mason wrote, “Is Laurel Lance alive? What is going on? Is it the real Laurel? A Laurel from an alternate earth? Did Flashpoint bring her back?”

However, Laurel’s return wasn’t the only mystery in the finale: Much of the episode involved trying to uncover the true identity of Prometheus. When Prometheus attacked Curtis Holt, Oliver Queen realized that the hooded villain knew the identities of everyone on Team Arrow.

Later, when Green Arrow had the chance, he fired two arrows at Prometheus, taking the hooded villain down. Unfortunately, it wasn’t Prometheus under the hood, it was Felicity’s boyfriend, Billy.

Billy’s mouth was covered with tape, and a speaker was attached to his chest emitting the sounds of the real Prometheus’s voice.

“I told you, Oliver,” the voice said. “Everything you touch dies.”

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on CW.
