#BCHarvest provides a bounty in pictures

The fall harvest is in full swing and CBC Radio One's B.C. Almanac asked listeners to tweet or email photos of their farm and garden bounty.

As the photos show, tree fruits in the Okanagan are ripe and farmers are picking abundant grapes and vegetables.

All over the province over-achievers have already canned their tomatoes, baked apple pies and pickled onions and beets.

However we also learned grain farmers in the North Peace region are still waiting for the crops as the rain has put them several days behind schedule.

To see the fruits of their labour, just click on the photo gallery above.

It is not too late to submit your photos to almanac@cbc.ca or tweet them to #bcharvest
