Bebe Is Back on ‘Frasier’: Harriet Sansom Harris’ Beloved Agent Returns for Season 2 of the Reboot

Power agent Bebe is back on “Frasier.”

Harriet Sansom Harris’ beloved character Bebe Glazer will return for Season 2 of the reboot series. Harris played Frasier Crane’s (Kelsey Grammer) agent Bebe in 11 episodes of the original “Frasier” series across 11 seasons from 1993 to 2004.

Harris is described in the press release as being the “delightfully devilish Bebe Glazer, one of the show’s most iconic characters, [who is] lnown for her dramatic flair and outrageous Machiavellian maneuvers. Bebe will stop at nothing to get what she wants.”

Variety first reported the casting.

This time, Bebe is also ushering in a new generation of cutthroat women, with “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” creator Rachel Bloom playing her daughter Phoebe Glazer. The character is described as “having inherited her mother’s indomitable charm […] and a taste for the finer things.”

Bloom is back on TV after the fan favorite Hulu series “Reboot” which was canceled after one season.

Much like the other iconic original characters who have returned to the series, played respectively by Peri Gilpin, Dan Butler, and Edward Hibbert, Bebe being a parent is par for the course.

The “Frasier” reboot centers on Grammer’s titular psychiatrist Frasier reconnecting with his son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott), who he shares with his ex-wife Lilith Sternin (Bebe Neuwirth). Neuwirth also is set to be back for Season 2.

Gilpin’s feminist icon radio producer Roz Doyle has adult daughter Alice, now played by Grammer’s real-life daughter Greer Grammer. And a romantic relationship between Freddy and Alice is teased in a series description for Season 2, with Alice “complicating whatever romantic plans” Freddy may have.

Of course, there’s also Niles’ (David Hyde Pierce) son David (Anders Keith) as well.

Additional Season 2 guest stars include Amy Sedaris as Dr. “Doc” Stathos, a therapist who works with the firefighters at Freddy’s firehouse; Patricia Heaton as Holly; and Yvette Nicole Brown as Monica, Olivia’s (Toks Olagundoye) sister, who is also a professor.

“Frasier” Season 2 is mid-way through production at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. The core cast includes Grammer, Cutmore-Scott, Keith, Olagundoye, Nicholas Lyndhurst, and Jess Salgueiro.
