Bellingham airline hiring flight attendants, and the job requirements may surprise you
Allegiant Air is hiring new flight attendants based out of Bellingham International Airport, and you may qualify.
The airline recently posted the job listings, which start at $23.15 per hour and are eligible for a benefits package, according to an email from Sonya Padgett from Allegiant media relations.
“Allegiant flies an out-and-back model, meaning that our crew members live in the cities where they work. Every work shift starts and ends in their hometowns,” Padgett wrote.
But what do your local flight attendants have to do, before they are allowed to fly? Let’s take a look before your next flight.
Allegiant flight attendant job requirements:
▪ Must be at least 21 years old.
▪ High school diploma or equivalent
▪ 1 year of customer service experience
▪ Must pass a background check
▪ Must have a valid driver’s license and passport book
▪ Must be willing to wear a face mask and have basic computer and tablet skills.
▪ Must be able to perform physical tasks involving serving and assisting passengers.
▪ Must be able to work well with others, work under pressure, respond effectively and calmly in an emergency, assess situations promptly and exercise good judgment and flexibility.
No previous flight attendant experience is required, but it is preferred.
Flight attendants are also required to attend a minimum of 4.5 weeks of training in Las Vegas, earn at least a 90% grade on all written and oral exams, complete five hours of initial operating experience, and have the ability to successfully perform all physical requirements of the job and all emergency or evacuation drills.
