The duo behind two Michelin-starred Trivet, Isa Bal and Jonny Lake, have decided to transform their neighborhood restaurant in to a wine bar every Monday. Offering a sublime selection of fine wine by the glass and an array of wholesome, hearty snacks such as he restaurant’s famed ‘Hot Tongue Bun’, we have a sneaking suspicion that Monday is about to become the new Friday.

Now open. 36 Snowsfields, SE1 3SU (trivetrestaurant.co.uk)

If the sun ever shows up, head to New Zealander Toby Kidman’s new 200-seater beer garden, with live music, Pacific flavours and a kiwi pie — puff pastry filled with beef and cheddar — that will cure any hangover.

Now open. 100 Redriff Road, SE16 (pacifictavern.co.uk)

Alexis Gauthier is bringing his beloved vegan fare to Browns department store. Serving loosely titled ‘plant-based sushi’ and a bumper French wine list, expect to find new iterations of the chef’s lauded crispy rice, as well as Thai-style summer rolls and quirky ‘tacos’ made with Nori sheets in place of tortillas.

Open 18 Jun. 20 39 Brook St, W1K 4JE (123vegan.co.uk)

Ibai

Herewith: a reason to venture to St. Paul’s. Headed up by former-Chiltern Firehouse chef Richard Foster and the meat connoisseurs behind Txuleta, this is the place to go for wholesome, French Basque-inspired indulgence Monday to Friday. Be sure to order the devilish Croque Ibai, starring scarlet prawns, boudin noir and Tomme de Brebis cheese.

Open 20 Jun. 90 Bartholomew Close, EC1 7BN (ibai.london)
