Blaine prostitution investigation leads to multiple arrests at a local business

Authorities broke up a prostitution ring in Whatcom County as part of an investigation that led to the arrest of three adult suspects.

Blaine police served a search warrant around 1 p.m. May 29 at Luxury Spa, 1733 H St. in Blaine. The warrant was granted after an investigation into the business based on allegations of prostitution and sexual assault, according to a news release from the city of Blaine.

Jie Ding, 39, of Renton, was arrested at the spa on suspicion of second-degree rape. Ankhjargal Jargalsaikhan, 38, of Corona, Calif., was arrested on suspicion of patronizing a prostitute, as was Todd Berge, 57 of Blaine.

Blaine police were aided by the Bellingham Police Department and federal law enforcement in the execution of the search warrant, according to the release.

All three were released from custody following their arrests.
