GQ's Woman of the Year is not living in "sin" despite what you may have heard. In a new interview with GQ, in which she was crowned Woman of the Year, Tilda Swinton has revealed the supposed ménage à trois relationship she reportedly had with her boyfriend, artist Sandro Kopp, and the father of her children, artist and dramatist John Byrne, was over stated.

"Her love life, she explains, is not the polyamorous sin marathon that appears in the tabloids," writer Zach Baron explained. "There are two men in her life, Byrne, who now lives elsewhere, and Kopp, with whom she shares a home, an arrangement she has in common with millions of other people—but neither is it boring."

Back in 2008, the tabloids went haywire after Swinton said she and Byrne made a home with their kids and Kopp. "We are all the best of pals," she reportedly said.

Two years later, the 54-year-old "Grand Budapest Hotel" star  tried to clarify in Bust magazine that she was not actually part of the threesome that had been reported. "I have never been married. I have two children with John Byrne," she said, "and we've not been a couple for many years, and we're very close friends, and we bring up our children together."

Swinton added that she had been in another relationship, the one with Kopp, for five years. "It's very boring and it's important to rectify, because there's some fantasy about us all living in a big hut together," she said.

In a 2011 interview with The Arts Desk, Byrne complained that he had been "reduced to a cartoon character" because of the rumours. As it turns out, he and Swinton split in the mid-'90s and he stayed in their home in Nairn, Scotland, to continue helping parent their kids, Honor and Xavier. He now lives with his partner Jeanine in Edinburgh, while Swinton and Kopp continue to make their home with the kids in Nairn.
