Watch: 12-year-old Ryan Gosling's amazing dance moves
Before he became a mouseketeer, Ryan Gosling was already a mover and shaker. Three newly surfaced videos of the 34-year-old "Only God Forgives" star show him cutting a rug as a 12-year-old performer.
One clip shows the Ontario native doing an Elvis impression to "Hound Dog," the second is an MC Hammer parody and the third is a pretty good Patrick Swayze impression done to the "Dirty Dancing" tune "Do you Love Me." The videos, which were recorded a year before Gosling joined "The Mickey Mouse Club," were posted by Ottawa resident Shaun Swire.
Jane Chupick, an associate producer at CBC's "Dragon's Den," brought them to Ryan Gosling's attention, who laughed it off:
@RyanGosling We've been reminiscing about my cuz's dancing at Elite... And about your penchant for MC Hammer pants! https://t.co/yOHn9h8M5Z

Obviously I peaked early. Thank you @JaneChupick and twitter for the check up from the neck up.

But those are not the only two vintage videos of Gosling as a young dancer. Back in 2012, another clip surfaced of the precocious Canadian at a mormon talent show in 1991 covering “When A Man Loves A Woman” (hey, those pipes are pretty impressive!) and dancing to C&C Music Factory’s “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)” with his sister, Mandi:
Despite the questionable fashion choices (let's just admit it, we all dressed like that in 1992), Gosling established himself early on as an actor who has no trouble busting a move. Here's a look at how his dancing has developed on screen over the years, culminating in a pretty adorable pas de deux with a pup:
The Mickey Mouse Club, 1993-5
Breaker High, 1997-8
Remember the Titans, 2000
The Notebook, 2004
Half Nelson, 2006
The Place Beyond the Pines, 2012
