Boy band Hanson releasing beer called MMMHop

It may have been a while since many people have heard about sibling band Hanson, but the brothers are back now and it isn't because of a new album.

They are launching their own beer, an India pale ale called MMMHop after their hit song from 1997 MMMBop. Regardless of your opinion of the band or song, chances are you will have a hard time not humming the catchy tune while reading the rest of this article.

"It's vital our fans have trust in everything Hanson do," says the youngest band member Zac while speaking at Oxford University Union Monday. "In fact we are soon going to be selling our own beer, I'm not even joking. MMMHop IPA anyone?"

He says they are hoping to create a brand so their fans have a great experience. But the band will never make dolls, lunch boxes or toothbrushes.

Hanson is not the first group to develop their own beer. British group Elbow developed Build A Rocket Boys Beer, which shares a name with their album, and Def Leppard's Joe Elliot launched a lager called Down 'N' Outz.

Rockers AC/DC and Carlos Santana as well as Canadian sports figures Wayne Gretzky and Mike Weir all have their own wines.

While the musical brothers are releasing beer, we have some suggestions for other products that could follow. There is the obvious one of MMMPop, but many Americans refer to the carbonated drink as soda so it may not work so well south of the border.

In addition, here are some other products we think could work very well:

Cleaning tool - MMMMop
Bungee jumping or skydiving sites - MMMDrop
Products for farmers - MMMCrop
Food for pigs - MMMSlop
Summer footwear - MMMFlip Flop
Tools to keep people from proceeding - MMMStop
Tools for barbers - MMMLop
