Caught on video: Florida tailgater experiences instant karma

There’s no sweeter revenge then seeing karma bite back someone in their derriere. Especially when it comes to drivers who decide they want to be a jerk, and tailgate your car. Just go around, already!

This was the case for Tracy Lynn Sloan, a Lakeland, Fla. woman who was being tailgated by a man in a truck for more than three minutes on U.S. 41. She’d had enough after the first minute and decided to grab her cell phone and record this idiot. Lucky that she did because she can now watch the workings of karma, over and over again.

“After about a minute, and me shaking my head, I pulled out my phone and started recording. I couldn’t move over because there were trucks in the right lane, and I sure as heck wasn’t going to speed on a rainy day with the roads being as slick as they were,” she said. She’s right -- she was not speeding. She even recorded a quick clip of her speedometer to prove it.

This road-rager continued to creep up behind her, getting closer and then braking, and finally passing her while staring her down in her vehicle and giving her the finger as he passed, laughing.

This is when karma kicks in, and it’s just so sweet.

Just as this jerk passes her, he attempts to cut her off, smiling while still flipping her the bird. Suddenly, he loses control of his truck, which then skids off the road, does a complete 180, takes out a road sign and then finally comes to a stop in the middle of the grass median. I guess the guy isn’t laughing anymore. He's lucky to be alive.

“That’s what you get!” Sloan shouts, laughing as she drives by.

She pulled over on the road ahead to wait for Florida Highway Patrol troopers, and watched as the truck driver took off.

Thanks to her little video though, police were able to track the man down. Jeffrey White, 33, of Tampa, was arrested Wednesday. He is facing charges of careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and failing to wear his seatbelt.
