Two people have been arrested after fighting over crab legs in a buffet restaurant, police say.
Police in Manchester, Connecticut say they were called to a Royal Buffet after an altercation between a husband and wife over crab legs got violent, reports NBC Connecticut.
Police say that during the fight, a 21-year-old man was punched in the face and lost a tooth. His mother came to his aid and used pepper spray on her son’s attackers.
The mother’s actions were in self-defense and she won’t face any charges, police say.
The same cannot be said for the couple that began the fight.
Clifford Knight, 46, is facing third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, and Lataya Knight, 38, is being charged with disorderly conduct and threatening.
According to Fox-61, Lataya was released on a $2,500 bail, where Clifford was released on a $5,000 one. Both of them are due to appear in court on April 14.
