Fake chef pranks morning shows with gruesome leftover meal solutions

Chef Keith, a prankster who fooled TV morning shows into having him concoct strange leftover meals on live TV.

Ham, pie, gravy. All delicious … separately. Blend them together and you may have the world’s most disgusting smoothie on your hands. Unless of course, you like liquid leftovers.

Fake chef Keith Guerke can certainly help you with some recipes to turn your leftovers into some real gruesome grub.

Guerke was featured on five different television morning shows in Wisconsin and Illinois to promote his “new cookbook” and showcase some of his “leftover meal sensations.” Problem is, no one knows this guy is a joke, and the “leftover sensations” he is preparing are simply awful.

How he keeps his composure after blending up a ham, pie and gravy smoothie and getting the morning show host to drink it is beyond me. What’s even better is that none of the hosts who are forced to taste his crazy concoctions speak up about how awful his creations truly are. Their forced smiles say it all, and after all, it is live TV.

At one point he throws out some ridiculous statistic stating, “Especially between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the suicide rate is the highest.” He says that he believes part of the reason is because of the stress people have of not knowing what to do with all of their leftovers. That's what's stressing people out? Really? How are these morning show hosts buying this stuff?

According to deadspin.com, morning shows need to fill hours of airtime for five days a week so maybe the vetting process for guests isn’t what it could be. Or maybe the producers of the station could have done a little background research on this guy and found out that he’s fooling everyone!

Chef Keith isn’t even his name. It’s actually Nick Prueher, and he is responsible for creating the Found Footage Festival with his co-founder Joe Pickett. These two comedians get their kicks by creating characters, who are experts in something, and getting on the air at local TV stations to showcase their stuff. The TV hosts are in the dark about their guests' “fake expertise,” and when things go awry on live TV, you can’t do anything but laugh.

Check out “K-Strass” the “famous” incompetent yo-yo master, who truly is the worst yo-yo’er of all time. You've got to hand it to the news anchors for keeping their cool on live TV, though.

“He did some really lame things. He hit himself in the face and in the groin with his yo-yo,” said Bridget Blevins, KQTV’s news director.

Did they ask K-Strass, this supposed yo-yo trick champion, to show them a few tricks before the live show? Nope!

It does make for fantastic live TV, though. Especially when Chef Keith “accidentally” takes out his entire table live on the air and they have to cut to weather.

Admit it, we all love it when live TV doesn’t always go as planned - and these guys have figured out exactly how to make that happen.
