Hilarious video of cat meeting baby for the first time

Cats are typically a little skittish around things they aren’t familiar with, and this cat’s first introduction to a new baby is no different. But it's certainly cuter than your average cat's reaction.

The video of this cat meeting this newborn baby has received nearly 2 million hits on YouTube. Why? Because it’s just so hilariously cute, of course.

The cat, who cautiously peeks into the baby’s carrier, notices the small infant who is sound asleep. Clearly, this curious cat has never seen a baby before because he is extremely uneasy about what this little moving, breathing creature might do.

While the owner films and laughs at his feline’s confusion, the cat analyzes the tiny human, no doubt wondering, “What in the heck did you bring home?”

Clearly anxious about this strange little package, the cat hears the baby yawn, and that just sets him right over the edge: "No, I'm out," he's probably thinking before he bolts.

He jumps back, officially freaked out when this little peanut coos and kicks its feet. He slowly starts to walk away when the baby begins to wake up and make little noises. “Ummm ya, nope,” is undoubtedly what the cat is thinking as he cowers.

The confusion and fear in this cat’s eyes is just hilarious as he walks away, ever so slowly thinking, “Nope. I want nothing to do with that thing at all.”

Maybe he’s taking this whole “curiosity killed the cat” thing a little too seriously.

The Daily Mail explains that although this video was uploaded eight months ago, it only really picked up steam in the last couple of days.
