Ice skaters use curling moves to save wild boar from frozen lake

Rescuers had to resort to a well-known winter game in order to help a few stranded wild boars from a slippery frozen lake in Sweden.

A group of ice skaters with a guided tour group on Lake Baven in Stockholm came across the boars that somehow ended up in the middle of the lake and were struggling to get off the ice, Mental Floss reports.

So the skaters gave the boars a hand.

In an adorable video titled “Wild Boar Curling,” one of the boars is seen trying to walk off the ice but its legs keep slipping beneath him.

But tt turned out the wild boars glide across frozen ice with ease and so the skaters used their trekking poles to push them back onto dry land.

They ended up turning the wild boars into giant curling stones while their poles were the delivery sticks. All that was missing were the sweepers to smooth the ice and keep the boars moving.

Eventually, the boars made it safely to the shore and we can’t help but applaud the skaters’ effort to save the animal, as the result is one pretty amazing video.
