Reddit sheds a tear over dog’s last photo

A photo entitled “An Old Dog’s Last Ride” was posted to Imgur, showing an elderly dog with her head out the window and her eyes closed, on her way to the vet for the last time.

The photo is from 2013, but ewhippieyoustink2 posted it last week on Imgur and Reddit.

The dog in the photo is 15-year-old Libra, who at the time had seizures and was unable to move or control her bladder, according to NicoleAlderman on Imgur.

“She was our baby and this was the hardest thing.”

The thread has been removed due to some Reddit rules about posting sad pet photos in the /r/aww sub-Reddit.

The original poster offered an apology, but most people didn’t mind. Instead they shared their sympathies and their own stories of losing beloved pets.
