The paper airplane machine gun: The world's greatest invention?

Over the centuries, there have been some impressive inventions.

The light bulb? Pretty impressive.

Penicillin? Nice work.

The two-slice toaster? Well done, sir.

But sadly, all of those inventions pale in comparison to YouTube user Papierfliegerei, who has created quite possibly the world’s greatest thing: A machine gun that actually folds and shoots paper airplanes.

Using a series of rollers and tracks, the paper airplane gun grabs simple looseleaf at one end and flips out completed paper airplanes from the other. Apparently it was built with parts from the German printing website fabberhouse.de and some pieces from a local hardware store. The gun’s trigger is a cordless screwdriver.

Now, make no mistake, this invention will not end world hunger and it will not revolutionize industrial best practices.

But damn, it looks like fun.
