Zookeepers are recreating a scene from Jurassic World

Jurassic World may have received a lot of attention for its record-breaking opening weekend at the box office, but there’s one scene in particular that has quickly emerged as a fan favourite.

You probably know the scene we’re talking about, even if you haven’t seen the movie. Owen Grady, played by the affable Chris Pratt, attempts to tame three threatening velociraptors, extending his arms out in an effort to hold them off.

It’s one of the most recognizable moments from the movie’s trailer and, thanks to zookeepers the world over, it’s now breathing new life as a meme.

Zookeepers everywhere have taken the scene and made it their, hilariously recreating the moment with the animals they care for. It all started on Tumblr where one zookeeper re-enacted Pratt’s scene with three walruses.

It didn’t long for the Zookeeper community to follow. Hundreds of photos with the hash tag #ZoorassicWorld have made their way around social media. Keepers are seen taming various animals, from kangaroos to pandas and even tigers.

And it’s not easy to get all three animals to cooperate, as one zookeeper points out. But there are now velico-penguins, velico-otters, among other velicos, roaming your Facebook and Twitter feeds.

But the best part… Pratt himself noticed the memes today calling it “absolutely awesome” on Twitter.
