‘Baby & Me’: Evian’s dancing babies are back!

Yes, it's a commercial for bottled water, but Evian's latest ad spot is just too adorable to ignore.

After the success of its "Evian Roller Babies" commercial in 2009 — the ad holds the Guinness World Record for most-viewed online video advertisement — the company is reintroducing CGI dancing babies.

According to Adweek, "Once again, they represent your gleeful inner child, but this time they want to dance with you."

The spot tells a simple story: adults walk by a large mirror on a city street and are shocked to see themselves reflected as infants. Smile-triggering dancing ensues.

Agency BETC Paris cast adults and toddlers who looked alike, then used the magic of CGI to make the kids mirror their grown-up counterparts' dance moves.

"Baby & Me" is now set to break new records. In five days, the commercial has had more than 32 million views on YouTube.

"The babies are true to our story and heritage," Laurent Houel, global brand director for Evian, told Adweek. "The love affair of the brand with babies started in France in 1935, when Evian was first recommended as a perfect water for babies."

Houel added, "[Agency] BETC had the idea to go beyond this, and leverage the babies into a powerful symbol of purity and youth. This baby is a symbol of you and how you feel when you experience Evian, and a symbol of the purity of our water."
