On October 27th, at the Super Target store in Aurora, Colorado, a man snatched a purse out of an 86-year-old great-grandmother’s shopping cart.

The suspect got away with Julia Brecht’s money, credit cards, and keys to both her home and car.

When police officers Robert Little and Craig Hess arrived on the scene, they went “above and beyond” to help the robbed woman.

First, they helped Brecht cancel her credit cards so they couldn’t be used, then they took Brecht’s grocery list — and finished her shopping for her.

After purchasing her groceries for her, they drove her home where they picked up her spare car key and returned to the store’s parking lot to pick up her car.

"They grabbed my shopping list," Brecht, who is a full-time carer for her blind and wheelchair-bound husband, told local channel KMGH-TV.

"They bought the groceries. One brought me home, they went back to Target and brought my car home."

The officers then purchased new locks for Brecht’s front door — and changed them for Brecht and her husband.

"Out of their own money, they changed the door locks to her front door, so she wouldn’t be victimized again if they came back to her address," said Aurora Police spokeswoman Diana Cooley.

"They were just absolutely incredible," Brecht said of the kind officers.

"We’re just very thankful. They went far beyond what any person like me would expect."

Crime Stoppers is currently offering a reward of up to $2,000 to anything who has information about the suspect. The purse-snatching was captured on surveillance camera.
