In Sweden, homeowner offers burglar coffee
When a homeowner in Kvarnåsen, Sweden, caught a man trying to break into his home, he called the police — then offered the would-be thief a cup of coffee.
Tomas Holmberg and his wife were sleeping when, around 1 a.m., they awoke to strange noises coming from their balcony.
A man was attempting to break in.
Holmberg easily apprehended the burglar, a 21-year-old male who didn't resist citizens' arrest, then poured the apologetic man a cup o' joe.
"He looked forlorn and quite cold so I thought he could use a gulp of coffee," Holmberg told the local Västerbottens Folkblad newspaper.

The man quietly drank his coffee until police arrived 45 minutes later.
Holmberg told Expressen.se that he'd welcome the man back for another cup of coffee — as long as he knocks next time.
