Justin Bieber fans angry over Jimmy Kimmel’s joke tweet from Julie Bowen’s Twitter account

"Modern Family" actress Julie Bowen must have felt pretty bad after she lost a footrace to Jimmy Kimmel, meaning she had to turn her Twitter feed over to the comedian and TV host for 24 hours. But she probably felt even worse after Kimmel decided to invoke the wrath of Beliebers across the Internet.

"Why do people like @JustinBieber ? The only thing worse than his music are his fans. #truth #babybabybabyNO" Kimmel tweeted from Bowen's account on Wednesday -- a message that was retweeted over 1,000 times and favourited 791 times.

Bowen then had to spend much of Friday morning digging through the piles of responses that Kimmel's joke tweets elicited, pointing out a few of the angriest.

@BeliebersSwagCR tweeted to Bowen: "YOU ARE A B----, DEJA DE JODER LA F---ING LIVE B---- AND PROSTITUTE!”

Then, Bowen retweeted @AleBieberLBS, who wrote, "You're a f---ing ridiculous, you're not even talented, you're a b----.”

@PiaLovesBiebs wrote, "Julie do you have envy? Yes, Justin has talent that is why everybody loves it,” to which Bowen retweeted and added, "(shaking fists at sky): JIMMMYYYYY!!!"

And Bowen commented "another stunner" to @LoCBeliebs, who wrote, "you have like 3 toddlers and your getting drunk, well that's a smart move. You are a terrible mother"

Among the myriad joke tweets that Kimmel sent out through Bowen's account, those also caught in the crossfire were Rob Lowe, Oprah, Taylor Swift, Tiger Woods, Tyler Perry, Lena Dunham, Courteney Cox, Kobe Bryant, Lance Armstrong, Tom Cruise, Matt Damon, Manti Te'o, and her "Modern Family" co-star Sofia Vergara. That meant Bowen had a lot of apologies to make on Friday.

"Ok, let's start out with the apologies: @RobLowe @lenadunham @courteneycox @pizza @africa ....I love you all. @jimmykimmel is meanie," the 42-year-old actress wrote Friday morning, mysteriously leaving out Bieber and his army of Beliebers.

But for all of the angst that Bowen must have received after the slight to the 18-year-old pop star and his fans, there were a few supporters out there in the Twitterverse. User @jimcvt commented with "A-men!!!," @vrpatel wrote "This is fantastic," and @SonofAres00 responded to Bowen with "I love you."

Kimmel may have had Bowen's Twitter feed for 24 hours, but she'll likely feel the effects for much, much longer. As we speak, she's probably in training to prepare for a rematch race.
