Mark Wahlberg’s Wahlburgers restaurant coming to Toronto

Mark Wahlberg and his entourage are coming to Canada. The "Pain & Gain" star, along with brothers Paul and Donnie, have announced they are bringing their burger joint, aptly named Wahlburgers, to Toronto next year.

“My brothers and I are thrilled to announce the opening of our Canadian location at the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel,” executive chef Paul said in a statement on Wednesday, according to the National Post. “Having spent a lot of time in the city, we have a strong connection to Toronto and appreciate the vibrant food culture.”

The family restaurant originally launched in 2011 in Hingham, Mass., and Toronto will be its second location. Though the famous founders have not yet announced whether the Canadian menu will differ from the the American version, Wahlburgers' U.S. menu offers some clues of what to expect.

True to its name, the restaurant offers a wide variety of burgers, from the BBQ Bacon Burger (Donnie's favourite) to the Thanksgiving Burger (Mark's choice). It also offers a number of salads and sandwiches, all of which are made with "locally sourced and house-made ingredients."

A green carpet will be held for the launch of SoHo Metropolitan Wahlburgers on Sept. 9 during the Toronto international Film Festival, and all three Wahlbergers are expected to attend.
