Watch ‘The Avengers’ star Tom Hiddleston speak Spanish, French, and Greek

Who knew Thor's archenemy was a polyglot?

Slipping easily from Spanish to French to Greek, Tom Hiddleston, the 31-year-old "Avengers" star better known as supervillain Loki, makes French-speaking sexiest man in the world Bradley Cooper seem like a lazy linguist.

On Tuesday, LaineyGossip posted a video in which Hiddleston appeared on a Spanish talk show back in April to promote his hit superhero movie. In it, he impressively speaks in Spain's native tongue before resorting to English.

Last year, another video emerged of the British heartthrob speaking French on the streets of Paris while signing autographs for fans. Earlier this year, he admitted in an interview with French site Monsieur Hollywood that he understands the language better than he speaks it.

If that weren't enough, Hiddleston also demonstrated his knowledge of Greek in May. In an interview with Greece's Cinemag, he quoted Sophocles' play "Electra" in its original verse as co-star Benedict Cumberbatch looked on, suitably impressed.

Hiddleston no doubt learned Greek (and Sophocles) while studying classics at the University of Cambridge. As for where he learned French and Spanish? Your guess is as good as ours.
